On September 22–23, 2026, the Shenyang Seed Industry Expo, themed ‘Gathering the World’s Finest Seeds to Build the Foundation of Agriculture,’ officially opened at the Shenyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. As a National High-Tech Enterprise, a Key Leading Enterprise in Shandong Province’s Agricultural Industrialization, a ‘Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative’ SME in Shandong Province, and an Innovative SME in Shandong Province, Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd. participated in the expo to empower the regional seed industry and help it improve quality and upgrade through high-quality seeds.

Located at 42° north latitude within the prime agricultural belt, Shenyang leverages the unique advantages of its black soil genetic resources and has become a central hub for crop variety evaluation, regional trials, and the integration of high-quality seed resources from the north and south in Northeast China. It has long been praised in the industry with the saying, ‘Look to Shenyang for the Northeast seed industry; high-quality seeds are truly tested here,’ and serves as a vital window for exchange, exhibition, and business collaboration in the northern seed industry. This year’s Seed Industry Expo brings together more than 500 seed companies from across the country, showcasing a total of 2,531 high-quality varieties of field crops (including grains and oilseeds), vegetables, and specialty cash crops. The exhibition covers vegetable categories such as solanaceous crops, cucurbits, leafy vegetables, and root and tuber crops, highlighting the current state and market prospects of the northern vegetable seed industry.

During the exhibition, key members of the provincial company’s team, drawing on the climatic characteristics, cultivation models, and market demands of Northeast China, engaged in in-depth discussions and extensive exchanges with distributors from across the country, heads of cultivation bases, and industry experts. Focusing on superior varieties well-suited to the Northeast region—such as Welsh onions, tomatoes, long-day onions, and spring onions—they conducted a thorough analysis of the regional industry’s current status, market demand characteristics, and future development trends, while simultaneously sharing standardized cultivation and management techniques as well as plans for the promotion and application of high-quality seeds. Leveraging this exhibition, the provincial company actively engaged in business matchmaking, continuously expanding market channels in Northeast China and optimizing its regional strategic layout. These efforts further enhanced the visibility and reputation of the ‘Lu Zhong’ brand within China’s vegetable seed industry, fully demonstrating the company’s commitment to deepening its involvement in the seed sector, serving end-users in crop production, and supporting the high-quality development of the vegetable industry.
