On May 19,2026,the 2026 Zhejiang Province Melon and Vegetable New Variety Conference with the theme of ‘Planting in Zhejiang, Creating a New Future’ was grandly opened at the Zhejiang Province (Xiaoshan) Modern Agriculture Innovation Park. This conference is hosted by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Zhejiang Province and Zhejiang Agricultural Development Group, guided by the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, and jointly organized by the Zhejiang Province Seed Management Station, Qiantang District People's Government of Hangzhou City, and Zhejiang Province Seed Industry Group.

In the field exhibition area of Xiaoshan Modern Agriculture Innovation Park, we arranged for 22 new and excellent varieties including Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Chinese Cabbage, Cabbage, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, and Curly Kale to participate in the field exhibition. They were observed and evaluated by growers, distributors, and experts at the conference site. According to on-site feedback, the ‘Abao’ Netted Melon exhibited by our company has a beautiful and sweet texture with distinct characteristics, and has been recommended by experts at the conference. Other displayed varieties are also full of highlights: the Flavorful Tomato such as ‘LiLang’ and ‘Zhuyu’ has neat fruit setting, and the taste is moderately sweet and sour; Mini Cucumber such as ‘Baoyu’ and ‘Liangyu’ have straight and evenly thick strips, with high commodity value; The Mini Watermelon has a moderate size, thin and crack resistant skin, crispy texture, and good marketability; The Curly Kale plants are growing vigorously and the leaves are stretched; High quality varieties such as Cabbage and Chinese Cabbage perform well in the field.

During the exhibition, Researcher Mr. Changyong Shao, Chairman of Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd., had in-depth exchanges with Mr. Yongping Li, Chairman and General Manager of Zhejiang Province Seed Industry Group, and other senior executives of the group. They also visited the exhibition site and had extensive discussions and in-depth exchanges with seed industry enterprises, distributors, representatives of agricultural cooperatives, and breeding experts from all over the country. They conducted in-depth discussions on core issues such as the breeding of new varieties in the melon and vegetable seed industry, technological innovation trends, market-oriented operations, and industrial collaborative development, and reached a broad consensus, further consolidating wisdom and clarifying the path for promoting high-quality development and future cooperation in the industry.
