From November 23rd to 28th, 2025, the second provincial training course on "Silk Road Pioneer" foreign trade talents for high-quality farmers, sponsored by the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, was successfully held at the training base of Shandong Agricultural Engineering College (Weifang Agricultural Comprehensive Zone Innovation Talent Development Center). Shandong Seed Co., Ltd., as a national high-tech enterprise, a key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization in Shandong Province, a specialized, refined, unique, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprise in Shandong Province, and an innovative small and medium-sized enterprise in Shandong Province, sent its core business backbones to participate in the training to comprehensively enhance their practical abilities in foreign trade of the seed industry.

This training closely aligns with the goal of building a new highland for agricultural opening-up, focusing on the foreign trade opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative and constructing a modularized curriculum system. The training content covers key areas such as interpretation of agricultural foreign trade policies, dealing with regulatory and technical barriers in export markets, handling compliance risks, and practical operations of cross-border e-commerce. Through diverse forms such as online and offline classroom teaching, practical observation, and government-enterprise-bank-society docking, it empowers students with comprehensive foreign trade literacy. Participants from provincial companies delve deeply into the training focus, systematically absorb knowledge across the entire agricultural product export chain, actively exchange and discuss international market development strategies with industry peers, and accumulate valuable practical experience.

Through this training, the provincial company will further accurately grasp foreign trade policies, translate what has been learned into practical development results, continue to consolidate the overseas market layout, facilitate the extension of superior seed achievements, and inject strong professional momentum into Shandong's seed industry to "go global" with high quality.
